Experience with Coolicool

Of course we checked out Coolicool in detail and know all about their strengths and weaknesses!

  • Warehouse in Germany → own category: „EU Warehous Stocking"
  • large electronics product range
  • Buyer protection through PayPal payment
  • moderate prices
  • well-arranged website (similar to sites like Amazon)

  • in parts expensive shipping costs

On the German website ( you can pay for your order with PayPal or Cashrun. On the international website,, you have the choice of PayPal, PayPal credit card, Western Union and QiWi WebMoney. We always recommend choosing PayPal, as it offers a great buyer protection that works well. On the international website as well as on the German site you can decide to checkout via paypal, meaning the ordering process will speed up.

  • PayPal (recommended!)
  • Cashrun
  • Credit card
  • T/T
  • Western Union
  • Money Order

Shipping and delivery time

The shipping costs depend on your location as well as the location of the items you're ordering. On the international website you usually have the shipping options standard shipping (registered air mail; 10 - 30 business work days), which may be shipped via Sweden Post, Malaysia Post or Netherlands Post, and expedited shipping (DHL, 3 - 7 business days). Coolicool's shipping costs and options also depend on the warehouse you're ordering from. If your item is located in the European warehouse in Germany, you'll receive your order even faster, and if you're located in Germany, you get the option of shipping the order via DHL without additional costs.

Special feature: Customs Insurance

A really great feature is the customs insurance. For an extra fee you can add Customs Insurance to your order. Coolicool guarantees that all additional costs that incurred by customs will be refunded if you add Customs Insurance. A really great option, but keep in mind that VAT fees are not covered by this insurance!

CooliCool Payment and Shipping Methods

Coolicool and customs

Our experience is that Coolicool labels parcels with care, so we didn't have to pick anything up from the customs office and could always pay VAT to our mail man. Please consider the possibly occurring extra costs before ordering: In Germany VAT and customs fees can be charged. Orders with a value of more than ~26€, will be charged with 19% VAT and orders with a value of more than 150€ will also be charged with customs fees - depending on the product categories. You can read more about this in our frequently asked questions.

For shipments entering the US, extra taxes and fees on your product are a possible, if not entirely common, side-effect of international ordering. Not every item is taxed when entering the country, but the majority are only subject to a nominal processing fee of between $2 and $9. The amount to be paid, however, can vary widely depending on the product and how it’s sent. If you are concerned about your item, or are planning to order goods in excess of $100, it is worth it to check with the Customs Office at the port of entry to confirm any extra fees.

Any extra taxes or duties on your shipment will either be paid at your door when the mailman drops it off, or the package may be held at your local post office. In which case, you will need to go pick it up and pay any applicable fees in person.

Return policy

If you're considering returning an item or requesting a refund, then you must contact the customer service within 10 days of delivery. As soon as they approve the return, you will receive a RMA which you will have to add to your order before you send it back to Coolicool. Coolicool will also refund you for the return shipping fees in most cases. Beware: if you're not returning an item because of a fault but simply because you don't like it, you will not be refunded for the return shipping and will only receive a refund of 80% of the item's value.

You can return an item within 180 days because of quality problems and Coolicool will repair the goods free of charge. In this case you will have to pay for shipping. (More detailed information can be found here)

Specific features

The European warehouse makes Coolicool especially interesting for European customers. By choosing this shipping method, you can buy Chinese products without the extra customs or VAT fees and you will receive your order within a couple of days, instead of weeks. If you're shopping on the international Coolicool website, you will see the products in the European warehouse if you click on "EU Warehouse Stocking". Furthermore, if a products is stocked in China as well as Europe, you will have two options: beside the "add to cart" button you will see the button "Click to buy from Europe Warehouse". For North American customers, the European Warehouse may sometimes offer faster shipping times than the Chinese warehouse, especially for the East Coast.

As long as you're not all about the label and if you're open to new Chinese brands, then you will find inexpensive and interesting alternatives at Coolicool. It offers a large product range of smartphones and tablets as well as inexpensive watches, clothing and car accessories.

Be warned you are not safe buying from their European Warehouse if anything goes wrong.
Read their small print before buying.
Their Warranty is a farce on a smart phone, screen & motherboard are not covered!
You have to send it to China & as most phones have non removable lithium battery.
It will cost up to €75 euros to return it.

Coolicool do not honor warned... Stay away they lie and do not cover any parts in 12 month warranty....very dishonest from someone else...

I had a horrible experience and feel conned out of money. you will probably get the phone you buy and maybe even on time but pray to heaven that nothing happens to it because if it will then brace for high blood pressure, anger, frustration etc etc. as i found out when the phone i bought went dead after a couple of months. they have only one email address and they ask you to send them emails but its just crap. you will get a delayed reply from them.and it will be completely irrelevant to what you will be asking them to do.
my phone stopped working and it was in supposed warranty. i sent to them and they only offer to give me $5 voucher for a £148 phone.the wanted money to repair the phone which was in warranty. its been 6 months and i have sent them the phone paying for postage myself and i did not receive anything back. they even stole the phone i sent them.
hand on heart, its a genuine review as i suffered sooo much from their hands.

I purchased a phone from Coolicool back in Nov 2017 (order number 20171123226061)

Received the phone a month later (typically shipping). From the first time I turned it on, the phone didn't work properly.

When I purchased phone, Coolicool had a returned policy stating you could receive a refund if issue reporting in 15-days.

I reported the issue 14 days after I received phone. Coolicool said they couldn't provide a refund - they could only repair it.

After shipping phone back to them, their "Technical Team" could find the fault. It took them just over 6 weeks to find the fault I observed on the phone every hour.

It took them another 4- weeks to "repair" the phone and ship it back to me.

When I sent it to Coolicool, it did power on and worked for a time until the screen stopped responding to touches. The "repaired" phone is dead - it doesn't come on at all (no lights or haptic buzz with I plug in a charger).

I could have gotten a better repair by finding a 3-year child, putting this phone in one hand and a rock in the other.

How does a "Technical Team" send out a dead phone that they've "repaired"?

I've spent the last 14 weeks talking to no less than 3 "customer service" people (no service to be had here), they have all said the same thing:

"We cannot provide you with a refund, your options are 1) keep the phone (paper weight) and we will give you a $20 voucher to spend on our website OR 2) send the phone back (AGAIN) and we will send you a used phone"

You can tell when someone wants to avoid facts. I've asked all people involved the same question:

"If YOU bought something new (for $300) that was broken, would accept a $20 gift voucher (and keep the broken item) OR accept a used item instead?"

No one from Coolicool has answered this question yet. This is a far cry from a company that claims it has "stellar customer service"

After admitting that I should have received a refund when I requested it more than 8 months ago and making the mistake of fixing (breaking) the phone I purchased, Coolicool still refuses to refund my money (after 9 months) - #Onlinetheives

If you thinking of purchasing anything from Coolicool, you would be better served if you went to the ATM, withdrew the cash, set the money on fire and toasted a piece of bread - at least you'll have a piece of toast.

Avoid this company at all cost.

One star is too much for the experience i had with them. coolicool is a fraud. stay clear of them. they will never honour their warranty. reply with broken english to any emails you sent them after weeks. imagine sending a two paragraph email to explain the issue to them and they reply complete non-sense afte two weeks with words like "no you pay, warranty no for phone". then you send another email and wait two weeks to get another reply "hi dear, we no send phone, no back money" for the sake of your sanity and peace of mind, dont buy from them.
i bought an elephone s7 from them, went dead after a few months. posted it back using own money about £15 and now they are asking £40 for repair even though its no fault of my own the phone just went dead. also i have to pay again for return postage, another £15 and the best thing is there is no time frame so even if you pay them money they can sit on your phone for months without any pogress and in the end retunr it to you without even repairing it. imagine the stress and frustration you have to go through.

bought a waterproof - ip68 - phone. after a few months i lighty washed the screen under the tap and water came through. coolicool support says that warranty does not cover water damage and that the phone should not come into contact with water even though they are advertising the phone as waterproof - there are pictures and reviews of the phone being used under water on their website.

I purchased a phone from Coolicool that developed a problem with the screen (Dead pixels). I went online to see if it was software related and lots of people had the same fault and had returned to the manufacturer for a repair under warranty. I contacted Coolicool and they requested a video to assess the problem. After receiving the video they offered my $15 compensation which I refused as this would not cover the cost of repair. They then made the following offer.
“Dear customer, You can send it back, then we can fix it ,is that OK for you?”
Since I was required to send the product back to China at my cost and I know the customs can be difficult, I looked into returning the phone to the manufacturer but when I asked Coolicool if this was ok, they responded that I must send back to them to be repaired. It cost £20 to return the phone and after 5 weeks they inform me it is my fault the screen is not working and therefore not covered under warranty “Problem is man-made). Keep in mind the phone is in perfect condition, not a single mark, so somehow I have caused dead pixels on the inside of the phone without cracking or marking the outside and all the other people that have the same fault must also be damaging their phones via magic also. This is a total con. I paid for the phone, I paid to return it and Coolicool after them seeing the video of the fault, offering my compensation and then saying they would fix it and now they are asking for £75 to fix it. The phone only cost a little over £100. So right now I have nothing and I am £130 out of pocket. Plus, I believe they would not let me send it back to the manufacturer because it is a fake, given the behaviour I can only assume this is the case. I requested they send it for an independent review but obviously they have no intentions of doing this as it would clearly rule in my favour. Also, the phone has not been returned either.
So be very wary of this company. They are looking to con you at every opportunity.

bought an umi super and it completely died after 2 weeks. useless interaction with customer service. they want me to ship phone to china for repair knowing full well the restrictions on shipping lithium batteries. cost me 70 euro to ship and get caught for import charges coming back. they could just send me replacement from eu warehouse and i could post the dud back there too..
never again to have dealings with..

KEEP AWAY AT ALL COSTS.. they dont care once they have your money

Worst experience ever! It's better to avoid them.

Please avoid buying from at all cost, because I still can't use the phone after 1 year! I've had it for about 2 months after the purchase during this period.

Bought a phone in December 2015, used it for 2 months before it started to switch off randomly. Sent it back twice for fixing, but every time they claimed they've fixed it remained buggy or even additional issues got added on top. After the first fix the camera didn't work, second time the sim card holder was missing. I was in contact with support and got many promises, but none of them were true. It's January 2017 now and I still can't use the phone after 1 year, because each fixing turnaround took about 4 months. I've never experienced anything similar before, it's truly disappointing.

One of the worst companies I ever came across. NEVER order anything from them. I actually think they might be fraudsters as as soon as I purchased and paid for a phone, the required every single personal information like copy of my ID, bank card copy (front and back) bank statements and god knows what else. This straight away started ringing alarm bells. I told them that I would never send them all of this as if you have all of that info, you can easily steal my identity or defraud me. So then all they needed is screenshot of my bank showing the funds coming out (with blacked out details). This conversation took 5 days. 5 DAYS!! Finally I hear from them saying that actually, now the phone is not in stock (I did pay for expedited delivery, over £14, so I would have the phone when I get back from holidays). I then asked them for a refund so I can purchase the phone elsewhere. They didn't respond for 3 days and then said please wait, we don't know when it will arrive, but wait. I said no, refund me right now. I asked about 5 times now, and they keep on ignoring it, trying to shove some other phone on me (who knows what it is since they're sending me a SKU number instead of an actual name!!) instead. I constantly ask for refund, still nothing. Absolute shambles, and fraudsters. I will never ever order anything from this 'company'. Total joke.

Ordered 2 x smart phones (not top of the range - Leagoo Alfa 5's) as well as action camera and headphones - paid extra $41+ for DHL delivery (even though postage free in original price).

That was on 18th November 2015 - all confirmed - delivery 3 - 7 days, then the delays started....

The headphones and action camera (Go Pro lookalike..) were eventually sent to HK after 1 week ..... I paid the customs fee via DHL UK - (whilst still in HK...) - however when delivered I found the headphones remote and volume control broken and the action camera has a missing 16Gb TF card.

Smartphones ...

Originally not told anything - just order accepted delivery 3 - 7 days OK
Then I was told 'slight delay for 2 days' ...OK ... no sweat.
Then told out of stock and restocking in a few days ... OK liveable
Then told out of stock and don't know when they are going to be in stock - these were bought as presents... absolutely miffed now..!!

Asked what phones they had in stock (so that I could change my order and get 'some phones' - they did not even reply.

Lots of emails bouncing around - really annoyed I used them.

Have lodged a claim with PayPal for a refund of some of the order value - (at least they confirmed that we are n dispute as they sent an email saying they will no longer deal with the order.....!)

I am now waiting weeks to try and get my money back.

I have bought a phone from but shortly after I decided to cancel my order. They have shipped the phone anyway. As their return policy suggest I have did not sign the package. The phone returned to their warehouse and I was promised a refund. I haven't got my money back yet. I have written multiple emails asking about my refund before.
Now I started paypal distpute with them hoping paypal will give me my money back because I have lost 122 £

They are nothing but crooks en thieves. Worse company ever specialised in selling defective smartphones . Its rates are so
bad that they are obliged to change of name frequently. If you succeed in sending back the phone (of course at your expense)
they will put it aside while pretending to repait it and return it by boat to Rotterdam for dispatch. Its previous name was :
Antelife. Keep your money for you will never get it back.

P.S. I need a refund immediately
